What the angle means
The slider represents a virtual angle between the keyboard and display. The preview rests at 108° and becomes stronger as the virtual lid moves toward 45°. It is an illustration, not a hardware measurement or calibration tool.
What the three styles show
Fold emphasizes perspective and a soft crease. Dusk builds shade as the lid lowers. Mist increases blur. The real Duoble Mac app lets you tune perspective, shadow and blur in its manual preview.
What happens in the real app
On a compatible Apple silicon MacBook, Duoble reads the local lid-angle sensor and draws the chosen effect over the live desktop. Screen frames remain on the Mac and are not saved or uploaded. See compatibility and setup before downloading.

- Does this page read my lid sensor?
- No. Only the slider controls the browser preview. The page cannot tell whether your Mac has a compatible sensor.
- Does the simulator capture my screen?
- No. It uses a drawn sample desktop and never requests Screen Recording permission.
- Which Macs can run the live Duoble effect?
- Duoble requires macOS 14 or later, a compatible Apple silicon MacBook lid-angle sensor and an active, unmirrored built-in display. Sensor availability varies by model.
- Is the browser simulator free?
- Yes. Its calculations run in your browser without an account or an API call, and Duoble adds no tracking script. Standard hosting logs and Cloudflare traffic data are described in the Privacy Policy. The Duoble Mac app is a separate one-time purchase.
